The Failure of the Florida Election System
In 2000, lots of people voted in Florida and their votes didn't count because when they tried to punch out the little piece of paper, the hanging chat, you know, got stuck. In Palm Beach County area, there were, I think, 13 candidates running for president. You had all of these elderly Jewish people voting for an anti-Israel guy, you've got Buchanan. And some of them voted twice because it looked like one line was next to Gore and what was next to Lieberman was his running mate.
