Deephaven is a new open source app that lets users stream data in real time. It's designed to be used by anyone with access to the cross-rapi API, including business logic and machine learning code. Deephaven has been around for about two years but have only just released their first version of it this week. The company says they are looking forward to seeing what other uses there can be for its technology.

Streaming data sources are becoming more widely available as tools to handle their storage and distribution mature. However it is still a challenge to analyze this data as it arrives, while supporting integration with static data in a unified syntax.
