The Importance of Learning to Be Influential in Design

A lot of designers are resistant to having to learn anything that gets them. The idea that they have to learn to be influential in an organization is really hard. It's probably not something that you can easily pick up through osmosis if that's how they picked up design. So it requires a set of skills that are very foreign. But sooner or later, we just know where we go. And this takes time. These are not things that you do in a weekend. This is not, you go to the offsite and you come back and everything's different.
