BBC health and science correspondent James Gallerher has been to a special chamber on a mission to find out what happens to our bodies in high temperatures. Professor damey and bailey who's professor of physiology and biochemistry at the university of south Wales in the UK put him through his paces measuring everything from his heart rate to his memory abilities before and after subjecting him to extreme heat. The time not to try to beat your personal best is if you live in a part of the world affected by heat waves now, says Dr Gallerher.
