The Origins of Somerset
Graham Blunt grew up in farming country in Cresswell, North Carolina. His great-grandmother and great-grandfather were slaves at the Somerset plantation. No one in his family ever felt the need to go to the plantation. In 1986 a descendant organized a homecoming for 1,000 descendants of enslaved people there.
