The Kansas Vote for the Right to Abortion
The state of kansas is in the midwest. It is a rock solid republican state, except they had a referendum on what the abortion laws should be. The expectation was that there would be a total ban. But huge numbers of women voted. They said, i don't want to be told what to do. And they won by a decisive majority. So it was republicans breaking from party orthodoxy.
