The Effects of MRI on the Brain of Teenagers

Kurt Schulte: We put together a whole corpus of mini documentary stories that we wrote about real teenagers from all around the world. And then we ask them, how does this person story make you feel? That's it. He says kids who do that more across the whole experiment have more executive control network activity.Schulte: Kids can say things like, oh, that poor girl, I feel so bad, I wish I could help her. But there's a sort of more concrete and pathic, direct, context dependent way of reacting to the story.
