The National Union of mine workers was completely opposed to membership of the European Union. They were always against it so they were always in favor of you know what we came to call legs before Tory right discovered kind of anti-EU rhetoric as a cause, Jeremy says. A section of the British left especially that had its roots in physically literally in the mining communities which was anti-break and is anti-EU. People on the left who didn't come out of that tradition really not understanding why you would support Brexit supporting what seemed to be a purely tool recourse he adds.
