The End of Things

People get offended every time I talk about eschatology because it's like nobody agrees on eschatology. My parents lived in a generation where Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated and Kennedy was assassinated. They all believed the end is near. The rapture is about to happen. Jesus is about to come back. This is the end. And we are listening to the same fear-mongering people who are taking the book of revelations and seeing it from a futuristic standpoint. That wrong thinking has robbed you and I of the generational consciousness that's necessary to think in terms of what is the homestead of mobile going to look like not day after tomorrow, but 4,000 years from now
