What Can We Do About the Dark Plastic?

Marine biologists think bacteria have evolved to start eating that plastic. At some point, if there's enough plastic in the ocean and it is there long enough, then i would also imagine that there would be a evolutionary drive to just start utilizing thatasa resource and as a society. Is there anything we can do besides hoping for e bacteria to ao? I don't think we can do very much. If it's on the beach, for sure, pick it up, because you remove it from the ocean, in a sense.
