A VHH or a nanobody is about 10 times smaller than an antibody. The fact that they only have a heavy chain means that this domain is also monomeric. It's also just one sequence and not two. They're so small that you can put them together, form these multimeric molecules with very high affinity and specificity. And even when you put them all together, like in our case, we are still one third the size of an antibody.
