Is He Ruthless as Well as Dull?
He was confronted with, i think, more serious and difficult problems than almost any twentieth century monarch. He came to the throne in 19 ten in the middle of the worst constitutional crisis for several centuries. His reign an ordinary tumultuous time. And wawhat i think is amazing about him is that he is able to deal with this one crisis after another. It doesn't phase him. He fixes the crisis and moves on. Is he ruthless as well as dull? That's good point. Quite dull people can sometimes turn out to be the most shrewd and even ruthless when it comes to getting their way.
