What Good Is Half a Wing?

It's a continuation of my earlier book for children, the magic of reality. Each chapter began with myths about this question concerned and then ended up with being the science. Flying could easily develop into flapping the arms up and down instead of gliding gradually downwards. I'd rather be hat that how birds got started like the tree leaping - but it could be called ground leaping. And some people favour theory for the origin of flight in birds, perhaps pouncing on a pretentious prey or something like that.
