Humour Is Difficult to Use in a Closed Space

To be fully inclusive in design, you can't use any humour in your design. Well, unless the humour perhaps is at your own expense about yourself in words or if you use the help of your community,. If you use their own words and allow them to be the humorous ones then perhaps that would work as well. But it's really, really difficult to know ahead of time or understand where people are coming from with humour. It's trust, but also it's relationship building. And so on your public facing webpage or app, then that is risky then.
