The Pitiable Love of Money
The love of money is too commonly the fatal cause. Why are so many no more than almost Christians? Thousands and ten thousands there are who despise riches, but would willingly be true disciples if parting with their money would make them so. They go away sorrowful, for they have too great a love for sensual pleasures. The last reason I will assign why so many are only almost or not altogether Christians is a fickleness and instability of temper.
