Do You Think the SEC Was Influenced by Sam Bankman Freed?

I don't think they took it very seriously. And I think basically they wanted to kill it. But banning it would have been hugely unpopular. There was a huge celebrity buy-in to this thing. So if you want this to stop and you don't want to ban it, what is the best way to go? It is definitely not to extend the protection, the privilege, if you like, of serious regulation to the system.
