The Sasonid Empire

In the eastern half of the empire, a man named charpur established an almost completely autonomous kingdom near the red sea. After a dynastic struggle of their own brought his brother artisher to power. For the next 400 years, sasonids would rule an empire that, at its height, would extend from egypt to india and from saudi arabia to russia. We will have much more to say about the sasonis as we move forward, so for now i'll stick with the particular machinations of its first king, artishir.
