A lot of this misinformation is conjured or carried forward by special interests. There are two pharmacudical company lobbyists for every member of congress. They rely on the idea that people think mental illnesses are true diseases and that their drugs aren't curative. But i think at the prescribing level, most people who prescribe just don't understand this. Oros physicians prescribe. Medical schools don't teach this.
