There are really sort of two types of understanding, explicit and implicit. So what does this mean? Let's give you a bunch of examples and definitions. Explicit: Fully revealed or expressed without vagueness, implication or ambiguity. Implicit: Unactualized, unmanifest, or the essence of a thing that can't be quite put into words.
