The Impact of Parental and Caring Responsibilities on Surgical Careers
Nuffil Trust report explores impact of parental and caring responsibilities on surgical careers. Two in five people who responded to our survey thought that their experiences had made them less likely to pursue a career in surgery. Over half felt that it influenced their decision around surgical specialty. 55% of people who responded said that their experiences around parenting had meant that they considered leaving their role in surgery.
