The Future of Social Reform
There are a couple of very important elements. First, give kids more options to disconnect from the algorithms. Second, make the algorithms more transparent. Third, give parents more controls and a reporting mechanism when they see harms. And then the duty of care, which is a burden that the tech companies should bear to assure their product designs,. The FTC and Attorney General can be very, very strong enforcement mechanisms.
