Application of Avatar Robots in the Age of Aging

The X prize has led to the development of robotic avatars. The technology could be used for telepresence in a variety of ways, including caring for elderly people and taking vacations. But it's not there yet; we're looking at more practical applications such as picking up someone who can't walk or helping them get into bed.
