There were arguments to be made that, le ay, just forget office compatibility. It's a albatross. But we decided then, and i took a similar approach with warp, that it's better to try to bridge people into the new system. So what it would mean for warp to not be compatible, i really think, is pry. We would write our own shell rigt. And we may eventually do that. The real thing that's very, very hard with it is the remote shell use case where we want a warp to work if you are connectedg to a remote machine. A person whose running warp on their mack might not actually be able to install or configure
