The cannabis industry has been this state-by-state legislative changes and it's remained illegal at the federal level. Psychedelics on the other hand, we already have multiple trials in phase three. It's really looking like almost a sure thing that there will be at least a few different psychedelic therapies approved by the FDA.

Brom Rector is the founder of Empath Ventures, a VC fund that in invests in early-stage psychedelics startups. Prior to founding Empath, Brom sent several years as a portfolio manager and quantitative researcher.
