The Origins of WinAMP

WinAMP became one of the top MP3 playback programs on the Windows platform in 1998. In 2013 AOL shut down WinAMP and stopped supporting it, but that didn't mean the death of the MP3 format. There are tons of other MP3 player programs and MP3 compatible programs out there. Some have really interesting features while others just have basic commands.
