Ubuntu's Future
Home Assistant dropped support for Python 3.9 four or five months ago. Nobody wants to be responsible for compiling and maintaining a specific version of Python on their Raspberry Pi just for one application. In that situation, in the case of Home Assistant, a Docker container, but equally a snap or a flat pack where all of the config and all of the dependencies are in that lump. That's a sort of different use case in my mind to a desktop. And I know it shouldn't be and I need to get over this and get on board with it. But I just, I'm not nowhere near willing to adopt it yet.
