The Digital Switch Over Forced Tahikim Media to Move Online
Tahikim media is a radio station based in the far north of New Zealand. In 2013, Tahikim started broadcasting 24-hour web TV before Facebook and Periscope came around. The organization decided that it really needed a strong digital strategy to serve its community. They knew they could not put all their content on YouTube or SoundCloud because Google can do whatever they want with it. So we had to build our own digital platform from scratch using open source framework Django.
