Bail policy really depends on which state that you're in, and it's in flux right there as a big lawsuit down houston. Police officers are spending an awful lot of time telling everybody that the spike and violence in new york is attributable to the bail law. The truth is like, just because you've been arrested, it doesn't mean you actually committed a crime. And even if you did, we're not supposed to punish you until after we've convicted you.
