The Importance of the AI Act

There are several very opposite opinions about the AI Act. Some say it's a dangerous technology that can be used in a harmful way and really need regulation to protect our citizens. On the other hand there are parties who say well we have innovation and there is a powerful new tool and let's not start regulating that before we don't even know what we do with that. The EU Commission kind of projected five to fifteen percent for high risk cases but now think it's between 22 to 50%. Out of these 20 to 50 there's a huge number of not very well categorizable AI cases or unclear cases, he says.
