Democracy and Capitalism in China
The idea that you could have free markets without necessarily having a moderna dem tic institutions of a choice, strikes me as quite possible. China represents, i think, for my perspective, a clear example of this. I don't think people really thought too much about it beforehand and now they see, oh, my goodness, you can actually have all these open markets without the standard democratic infrstructure that we have. Now, first of all, is that a reasonable way to look at itd am i grossly misguided in that? And secondly, what sort of effect is that having amongst people of a more dogmatic standard, neo economic, liberal persuasion around the world?
