Many CMOs don't think about revenue generation in the same way, they think about it like lead gen or demand gen. A lot of CMOs come from brand and comms and stuff like that. So you have this management layer between the CEO and the CMO. And then the CRO is involved. I just think it creates a lot of organizational challenges by doing that.
