The History of Telemedicine

In 1940s, radiology images were first sent approximately 20 miles between two thousand and wire telephone line. First people to actually use video communication for medical purposes were at a University of Nebraska in 1959. In 1970s somehow the in rural areas where still the populations are limited healthcare access people were now able to reach specialists from different cities afar.
