How to Read Philosophy in a Non-Academic Job
I've often thought that the approach to reading that's centered primarily on critique is such a burdensome thing to put on young students. I just feel sometimes like a missed opportunity because it seems to me the way that I've grown, however much I have as an intellectual is by following other people's footsteps and really coming to love their work. Even if you disagree with it, even if there are things about it that you think could have been done better.
