In the Buddhist tradition, there are these two terms, sort of craving and wholesome desire. They're really different. Liking can tip into craving, but with some self-awareness and practice and maybe some external support a person can rest in liking without tipping into craving about it. And so I find that one of the best ways for people to help themselves in this life is to learn to like certain things,. Learn to like being still, required, and letting other people talk.
