Enchishikari announced that they would be giving £1 from a run of their arena show, who is going into a fund to support grassroots music venues. Coldplay played my venue in Tumbridge Wells in front of about 60 people. They played two, so 240,000 tickets in Manchester, an average cost of just over £100 each. I just don't believe that £1 from those shows couldn't have gone into a fund. Some of the venues they played on their first tour are already closed, and many more will close if we don't get sensible action from the live music industry on this. We're playing our part.
