The Importance of Staying Awake
In 1928, Airheart became the first woman to fly across the US and back using only a compass and a roadmap. In 1932, five years after Lindbergh's flight, she then flew across the Atlantic and became the first women to do so. She meant to land in Paris, but she adjusted after 15 hours of flying and due to weather and technical issues, she landed safely in Ireland.
