Sally Kohn: I've had conversations with writers on this show who write like a period piece that takes place in the early 90s. She says there were still payphones, it must have been such a joy to not have to deal with digital communication in a novel. "I think maybe back in those days, even though people were still lonely and isolated in many respects, there was more hanging out," she says.
