Anarchism and Indigenous Resilience

This chapter examines the emergence of anarchism in southern Ukraine during the Soviet Revolution, led by Nestor Makno and the Maknovists, who fought for a society based on direct democracy and peasant support. It also draws parallels with the resistance of indigenous nations like the Lakota and Cheyenne against colonial forces, highlighting their non-hierarchical organization and significant roles in warfare. The narrative emphasizes the importance of solidarity and learning from these historical struggles within the context of anarchist movements.
