Every personality type has a different emotion profile. And the person that is really open to awe is high, scores high on this trait called open to experience. No matter what your profile, you can find more everyday awe just with simple practices. I think the awe is an interesting antidote to some of the complexities of our times.

Dacher Keltner is a professor of psychology at University of California, Berkeley, who directs the Berkeley Social Interaction Lab. He is also the founder and faculty director of the Greater Good Science Center. His latest book, Awe: The New Science of Everyday Wonder and How It Can Transform Your Life, is out now.
