How to Talk to Children About Grief

Grief is a really scary feeling and it can feel very out of control. There are many activities in the book that are just normalizing what feelings of grief are, giving children the vocabulary to speak about death comfortably. I think picture books are a fantastic way to do this because it gives a little bit of remove from having to talk about your own story right away. And if you recognize your own experiences in that story, it really drives home the fact that those feelings are okay to have and common to have.
