Wich do is interesting, because educators have lost the thread of going back to james and purse about what's a sort of pragmatic philosophy means. And i think for him, it is very practically, almost as a hellenistic approach. It is to become wise and lead people to wisdom. He also talks about the philosopher being the person who can sort of translate and adjudicate between people with differences. So if we are willing to conceive education as the process of forming fundamental dispositions, intellectual and emotional, toward nature and fellow men, philosophy may even be defined as the general theory of education.
