What Are the Impacts of Revivals in North America?

There have been what can truly be called national revivals, twice. The first began in 1729 when a small band of young men at Oxford University in England began to meet and pray and study the word led by such luminaries as John Wesley. That had an American colonial counterpart in the Methodist revival that was taking place in the British Isles under Wesley. And the American counterpart has become known as the Great Awakening.
