Is There a Leftest Interpretation of the Law?
I think that in large part is because of law schools and how much they've bought into originalism. And more specifically, you know, there was a movement founded by professor duncan kennedy called critical legal studies. It's sort of this understanding that, like, there isn't a black and white right or wrong answer that you can divine from history. The underlying philosophy when we're talking about cases is "legal realism"
