Women's Work on Farms - The Importance of Farm Work

Zambian's preference for female seclusion was relatively weak. Female labor supply thus rose quickly in response to shifting economic incentives. Culture mediates the rate at which women seize opportunities created by development and democratization. Many cross sectional studies find a strong correlation between crop systems and gender relations. But that relationship only holds in cities, not villages.
