The Impact of the Pandemic on Parliament

The public has fundamentally shifted its expectations of government particularly through the pandemic. People want a government which is going to deliver the basics for them ideally better than the basics so moving government away from constant psychodrama and into level of competence which delivers seems to be the direction that both Sunak and Storm are pointing at now. It might mean for the press that it's very boring but possibly I think it might be a good outcome for us all if actually some of our focus shifts on getting government to get stuff done.
