Is There a Right Way to Pick Up That Phone Call?
When someone is struggling and suffering, more than ever warmth and a personable voice is so important. I would imagine that there would be enough capacity for people to actually just pick up the phone and talk to whoever is calling. But that operator voice tends to communicate a certain coldness and a certain lack of compassion.
