The cumulative effects of industrial tech on the environment are reaching critical tipping points of planetary boundaries, he says. But public corporations have a fiduciary responsibility for share profit maximization and can't do things that destroy everything just because it's cost of doing business. Those who think about opportunity more than risk as risk is moving into an exponential scale then rationalize that this is itself one of the underlying drivers of the meta crisis.

On this episode, Daniel Schmachtenberger returns to discuss a surprisingly overlooked risk to our global systems and planetary stability: artificial intelligence. Through a systems perspective, Daniel and Nate piece together the biophysical history that has led humans to this point, heading towards (and beyond) numerous planetary boundaries and facing geopolitical risks all with existential consequences.
