The Importance of Diversity in Domestic Violence

After George Floyd was killed that, in my opinion, is when everything changed. The usual story was that there were a lot of people who, in some cases, very suddenly, were like, we need to make our organization anti-racist and called in diversity consultants often with mixed results. No, there were no big racist incidents in my lobby. And none of them were anything that I think my organization could really do anything about. It created a lot of division and a lot of chaos,. honestly, deflected us from our core mission to serve domestic violence survivors.
