What's Going on in the Nativity?

If you're following along with your nativity set from Hallmark, there isn't necessarily three of these Magi. And also the nativity said, if you have angels singing, you need to get them out of there. So that's kind of- It gets mushed up a little bit even in the biblical story,. But that's almost like reading between the lines a little bit, what's going on here.
