Chantal: My husband says visual thinkers have an experience of consciousness that's more like Netflix on mute. I think the way your husband put it was that verbal thinkers experience consciousness as a podcast, right? It's a narration of words. So this is how I experience consciousness. Like I think in words, it never occurred to me that anyone could have any other experience. And so as I start to wake up, I'll start to hear ideas kind of like lose your mind. Chantal: You will understand yourself differently when you realize that this is just one, one way of being.
There's no such thing as a "normal" brain. And according to Dr. Chantel Prat, a neuroscientist at the University of Washington, that's a very good thing indeed.
